Human Trafficking, Country by Country

A proof of concept for an interactive world map where every country carries its own report. Hover a nation for a headline snapshot, then open its page for the full picture.

The Vision

The Libertas Council is preparing a country reports program that examines human trafficking one nation at a time. We plan to begin with 52 countries and expand toward the 188 covered in the U.S. State Department's Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, refreshing the data every year. The program is currently in its data collection and analysis phase, and this page is an early demonstration of how the finished experience could look and feel.

The map below is modeled on familiar reporting tools such as the NCMEC CyberTipline "Reports by Country" map. Shaded countries have a sample report you can open. Everything shown here uses illustrative placeholder numbers so we can preview the design before the real analysis is complete.
